The news from around the nation is about
many house fires.
Sadly most of these fires take lives and are totally preventable.
If you use any kind of space heater to supplement your heating system and save on energy, please don't gamble with your life or health.
Safety System rules:
1.) Don't use any heating device without reading and sticking to the directions.
2.) Make sure you don't overload a wall plug. Check the plug that goes into the wall from time to time to make sure it isn't overheating.
3.) Don't leave any space heater unattended.
4.) Keep a Fire Extinguisher handy.
5.) The best space space heaters are those which don't draw too much electric and don't get hot.
Always assume something make go wrong so you don't get caught flatfooted.

Fire Department
